Pinnacle Group’s Myatts Field North regeneration project has been featured as a ‘good practice’ case study in the government’s new Estate Regeneration National Strategy.

The strategy, published earlier this month by the Department for Communities and Local Government, is a blueprint for regenerating deprived housing communities across the country and aims to provide practical advice and guidance to local partners.

Myatts Field North was featured alongside 15 other case studies, drawn from across the country as examples of innovative estate regeneration and placemaking. According to the strategy, “The regeneration of the Myatts Field estate demonstrates the benefits of partnership working and a placemaking approach to delivering a new residential urban neighbourhood.”

Pinnacle Group Director of Business Development Jim Saunders said:

“We welcome the latest announcement from DCLG, which outlines its commitment to harness best-practice regeneration initiatives across the country over the next 10 to 15 years,” he said.

“To have one of our key regeneration projects – Myatts Field North – featured alongside some of the best in the country is testament to the fantastic work we do here at Pinnacle. It also reinforces our genuine belief that effective placemaking has the potential to completely transform people’s lives – now and in the future.”

The government has also announced an additional £32 million of funding, along with the £140 million already earmarked for the estate regeneration fund, which will help to fast-track and improve estate regeneration schemes.
