We have developed a series of strategies with our partners that focus on different real asset sub-sectors within the Living Sector.

Private Rented Residential - London

Pictet-Pinnacle launched a joint venture in mid-2020 focused on building a portfolio of mid-market residential assets in London.

Investment Strategy:

The investment strategy recognises the severe dislocation between demand and supply in housing, coupled with the financial barriers to homeownership in London; driving an ever increasing need for good quality, sustainable homes for rent. A market currently dominated by non-professional small scale landlords, we believed there was an opportunity to scale a portfolio at speed that focused on the primary needs of our tenants rather than heavily ‘amenitised’ product - fundamentally providing high quality homes with a professional landlord service.

Assets:

70 units in Limehouse

102 units in Battersesa

131 units in Royal Docks

55 units in Upton

PRIVATE RENTED RESIDENTIAL- Granular regional strategy

To capitalise on this opportunity the Pinnacle Residential Fund was launched in September 2019 (having formerly been the Prime London Capital Fund), formed in partnership with SLB Developments a REIT listed in Singapore.

Investment Strategy:

The Private Rented Sector is an important part of the overall spectrum of housing tenures, housing over 20% of all households in the UK. Ownership of the market is currently very fragmented, with most landlords owning 1 or 2 properties. This results in significant inefficiencies in operation and ultimately, at times, a poor experience and unfair deal for tenants. We seek to provide a differentiated investment route, coupled with a high-quality landlord service for our tenants - or customers.

Our strategy seeks to target sub-insititutional size assets on behalf of our investors so as to take advantage of the gap between individual landlords and large scale, professional landlords.
